Google Play updates
The Google Play edition receives application updates through Google Play. Use the Play Store to check for available updates.
VPN connection
Android must approve the VPN connection before QuietShield can start local filtering. Android also displays VPN status while protection is active.
Official direct releases
Install direct APK releases only from the official QuietShield release channel. Verify the published SHA-256 checksum when one is provided.
Before requesting support
- Record the QuietShield version name and version code.
- Include the device model and Android version.
- Describe the exact steps that reproduce the problem.
- Explain whether the problem occurs on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both.
- Remove license keys and private information from screenshots or diagnostic files.
Common questions
Why does Android show a VPN indicator?
QuietShield uses Android's VPN interface as a local filtering mechanism. The indicator is shown by Android while the VPN interface is active.
Can I use another VPN at the same time?
Android normally allows only one active VPN service at a time. Another VPN-based application may prevent QuietShield from operating simultaneously.
Will every advertisement or tracker be blocked?
No. Filtering coverage depends on the application, website, encryption method, active protection rules, and device behavior.
Is QuietShield antivirus software?
No. QuietShield is a privacy and filtering tool. It does not replace safe browsing practices, operating-system updates, account security, or dedicated security software when those tools are appropriate.
