1. What QuietShield does
QuietShield uses Android's local VPN capability to help block advertising, trackers, malicious domains, and other network requests selected by the user. The VPN connection is created on the device for filtering purposes.
2. Information processed on the device
To decide whether a supported network request should be allowed or blocked, QuietShield may process domain names, app identifiers, filtering decisions, and related network metadata locally on the device.
Custom allowlists, blocklists, protection settings, profiles, local statistics, and supported local activity records remain on the device unless the user intentionally exports, backs up, or shares them.
3. License activation and verification
When a trial or paid license is activated or verified, QuietShield may send limited licensing information to the QuietShield licensing service. This information may include a license key or activation token, app edition, app version, a device-specific identifier or public key, a user-provided device name, activation status, verification status, and relevant timestamps.
The licensing service uses this information to activate licenses, enforce device limits, prevent unauthorized use, support device release or transfer, and maintain activation records.
4. Website and browsing information
QuietShield processes the domain information needed to apply filtering rules. QuietShield does not sell browsing information or use it to create advertising profiles. Website allowlist and blocklist entries are intended to remain on the device unless a user-enabled feature explicitly sends them elsewhere.
5. Advertising
QuietShield does not display third-party advertising and does not use personal information for targeted advertising.
6. Sharing of information
AJCoder does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by service providers when necessary for licensing, hosting, security, distribution, or customer support. These providers may receive standard technical information, such as an IP address, as part of normal internet communications and server logs.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, when necessary to protect users, or when necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats.
7. Data retention
Local app data remains on the device until the user removes it, clears the app's storage, or uninstalls the app. Licensing records may be retained while a license is active and for a reasonable period afterward when needed for fraud prevention, device release, transfer, support, security, and recordkeeping.
8. Data deletion and device release
Users can remove local QuietShield data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Requests concerning server-side licensing records, device release, or deletion can be submitted through the official contact information below.
Some records may be retained when legally required or reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or license enforcement.

9. Security
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Children's privacy
QuietShield is not intended to collect personal information from children. Parents or guardians who use QuietShield to manage a child's device should review the app's settings and supervise its use.
11. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the app, its services, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
